Hi Cic,
I meant that is all that I could do to it to make it play sound, the
only other thing it says is telling me what channel the sound is coming
out of when I do a sound (headphone) test.
I cant find anything wrong with the setup at all, all the usual things
(and some unusal things) have been checked. I've looked at the
services, some were on auto, some were on manual, now they are all on
manual (sound related ones).
At the moment, I have a sytem, with all the drivers loaded for
everything and while loading each driver, I tested the sound, and
nothing would produce sound. Its like there is sound there, but I dont
hear anything, it makes all the motions to do it, but I get nothing.
Windows open, but too high up for me to get out of it!
Boot from a bootCD like Knoppix or something and then at least you will know
if is a harware issue rather than an OS or drivers issue.
