Just built a new pc and planning to load win2k pro on a sata
drive. Will win2k recognise a USB key if i put the sata drivers
on that (asus a8n-vm csm motherboard) or have i got to go and
buy a floopy drive to do it??
daZza,
I think you're going to have to buy a floppy drive.
Have a look at
http://www.seagate.com/support/kb/disc/faq/sata_detect.html .
Oh well, may just temp install one as cant see me using it after
initial install.............

I'm not sure which guide you would find easiest:
If your XP CD hasn't got SP2 on it, you might as well slipstream SP2
onto it as well. There is this tool called Autostreamer which
simplifies the process, but I haven't used it myself.

Remember to delete things like the Added Value folders and Resource
Pack, etc as otherwise the slipstreamed SP2 CD image may end up too
large to fit on a CD.

Cheers for that m8, using win2k pro but cant be to much
difference................
How To: Slipstream your XP installation
Add RAID/SATA drivers and Service Pack 2 to your original Windows CD!
