I have just bought a multi card reader/writer with 4 memory card
sockets and 1 USB socket.
I installed it into a spare floppy drive bay and connected it to the
USB 2 header on the motherboard. A red light came on and I managed to
install the supplied software from a mini disc, which now gives me 4
icons in My Computer relating to each memory slot.
However the USB 2 socket does not appear when I plug in my memory
stick and there is no icon for it in My Computer.
Could anyone give me a clue as to how I can fix this problem please?
Have you installed the Memory Stick driver (if required)? A simple socket
won't show up as it's only an extension of the header you plugged the
box into. The box acts as a hub to get the slots added to the USB header.
