Joe Blogs' opinion is much better than a review as Joe actually bought the thing and used it whereas a reviewer gets it free and is on a jolly to look at such things and maybe even paid to say something about it.

I do agree though that google does bring up a lot (and I mean a *lot*) of crap in its results, e.g. when I search for a specific driver I get a load of results from some forum or another where Joe Bloggs (him again!!) is asking for the same driver but never gets answered properly.
