Yes I sold it through eBay
2) Who supplied XP Home and applied the licence sticker:

The OS was already installed when I aquired the system and the XP home
sticker is the original supplied by Packard Bell/NEC. In fact I have no
reall way of knowing whether the installed system was the original or not
but at this point it seems academic now anyway.
It's just that I will help him if I can, although I don't feel responsible.
