Hello All,
I've just bought myself a nice new graphics card Gforce 6600 256meg - not too fancy but way better than what i have and was only about £50.
Now the problem I've discovered is that unlike every other card I've ever bought, this new card doesn't go in the AGP slot but instead a PCI-e slot....of which i have none.
I have 5 free PCI slots, is there anything I can buy that will adapt the PCI slot to a PCI-E slot or will I just have to stick with AGP/PCI cards for now and send this other one back?
You bought the wrong one, see if you can return it for a AGP Or buy a newer motherboard
I just built this system for myself about 6 months ago...
dont suppose you can recomend an AGP card in the £50 range?
PCI-e parts aren't much cheaper than AGP so why not just get an, er, Geforce 6600 (AGP)?
