I bought an IcyBox USB2 drive which seems fine. I do a lot of video editing
and move the source files around between a couple of PCs so it gets a
constant thrashing has never given any errors so far.

I just got the basic USB2 model but there are also versions with
firewire/SATA connectors aswell. You can even get one with built in chav
blue lights if you want ;)
