Simply copying won't do it (it's possible, but with a lot of fiddling.)
One way would be to "image" the current HD using something
like Acronis True Image (ISTR there's a 30 day trial version which
should do it). Whenever I do this, I use Partition Magic (v8 for XP
SP2) as I happen to have that. You could also look at a few HD
manufacturers free utitlities (which sometimes ship with new drives)
as some of these can do exactly what you want. I can't remember
which utils at the moment, but someone else can probably help
with that. I'll check back later and look them up for you if no-one
else responds.
