No - I'm probably not explaining it properly.

You need to clone the raid array to your existing C drive.

This one: "I already had/have system C:\ on a standard IDE HD"

Once you've done that, because the motherboard and controller will have
changed, you will need to run a repair install, and also install the
motherboard drivers afterwards.
