Nonetheless it is still hassle (Win98SE here). I've got the tools - Weller
TCP[1] 50Watts on a PU-3D and a good sucker and donkey's years of
skill, so I reckon I can get the caps out and leave the through-plate in
the hole and not pulled out on the leg! But I'd like to minimise the down
time and as it is my only working machine I can't really be without it.
(Well, I have a laptop but it hasn't got a complete set of utils etc on
it.)
So if I can, I think it would be best to try and find another board of
the same model - EPoX 8RDA+ and just substitute it for the time being.
That would take the pressure of time off the job.
