Indeed I do, although this to be combined with realising that complete
dependence on energy from very unstable countries (middle east, russia
etc) is ver very unsmart.

I rather doubt it is proven. I would be quite astonished if the effects
are not just starting and are important because the amount of CO2 we are
pumping out is now seriously significant.

Effetive? No. Significant mitigation? yes.

That we ought to be planning for (at least) a 10m rise in sea levels in
the next 50 years is self evident. That takes out many major cities
worldwide.
