Rolled back the update. I suspect the flaw it patches has been around
for so long, without disasters, that there's no need to make a mad rush
for my internet use. I'll give ZoneLabs a chance to patch their product.
In an environment such as a bank, things would be different. One of the
things this flaw does is make a man-in-the-middle attack possible. I
don't do Internet Banking, and I wasn't planning on using eBay this
month. I think I can afford to wait and see.
I think there are a lot of people talking who don't know much. Firewalls
have to pull a few tricks to work with Windows, and I don't want to mess
about with alternatives which I don't know have been tested with the
patch in place.
