And fill in all your ditches and remove all your woods and hedges.
The equivelent schemes here involve restoring recently removed hedges.
No definition of `recent', generally hedges that were on the last
revised maps have to be restored, so it is better to decide whether
you are ever going to join, or be forced to join, such a scheme.
(Rumors that the single payment will depend on joining such a scheme).
Personally, I think that they are a pain in the a***, and am avoiding
for the moment.
Besides that, unless on corn land, I would think twice before removing
hedges.
