Farmers and Carparking

Called to do my weekly shop at the end of the afternoon in a hamlet
just outside Bala. The shop is run by an ex-farmer and offers hot/cold
home-cooked snacks and drinks (he also makes goodly bara brith).
I did notice a couple of "SUVs" in the laybye just before the shop -
but a canoeing group has access from there and there were a couple of
bods with portable office/trailer thingy in the field.
The shop does have a good forecourt but across this was a tractor with
muckfork and trailer, Shogun with livestock trailer and the postvan!
There wasn't a gap through which I could squeeze to get to the empty
space at the side of the shop and I had to park my "SUV" on the deeply
rutted verge opposite.
The drivers were sitting round the table having all-day breakfasts and
a gossip.
Mentioned this to Jones and he said "Farmers! - park any old how by
shops, tyre depots etc. but give them an empty field and they'll line
up in neat double rows."
