I think pretty well all email hosts do incoming virus scanning by
default. It costs them little and saves them a lot of bandwidth. Mine
will optionally viruscan outgoing, which is important when you have two
naive netusers on the network. It stops them infecting others and warns
you that they are infected. Fortunately to date nothing has been picked
up.
