I'm acutely embarrassed by this but we have 6 ac of timothy/meadow

How much should I be looking for, what type of agreement should I use

Why not mow it yourself?
The trouble with first time lettings is that you have to put up with
idiots/timewasters, before getting someone that is genuine.
If it was mine, I would try for livery, 20 quid/month/head, take a strong
line with any default, just for the Summer months, barbed wire may be
a problem.. two locks on gate, one for rentee, one for yourself, make
sure that any address is genuine. Beware of people who have quick
enthusiams, then disappear, or have a list of sad reasons for not
paying up. I doubt that any sheep or cattle farmer would be
interested, too small.
