"He ...... amuses himself by writing, mostly for his own pleasure, on a
wide range of subjects: fact and fiction, short stories, novels, articles

Malcolm
I had a quick look on Amazon, see if any of his novels or short stories
are still there,
found
Schopenauer, published in Nov 1998

This would tie in with the date of the article
The problem may be that someone with such a wide spectrum of literary
interests might write under several different names, so that his work
wasn't type cast.
That is not me. I have yet to be published for money or in hardback, let
alone at those flattering prices!
For the avoidance of doubt, apart from the odd scientific paper and buisness
related material dating back donkey's years when "G.P.Gardiner" might have
been used. I would think it unlikely that any of this is available in print
or on line.
.... or the Irish form "Páid Gairnéir" when pulling Greymaus's leg here, I
always use the form "Pat Gardiner."
Nice try, Jim.
Now, I think you have a telephone call to make! You are claiming to have
information that is very relevant.
Time to do the decent thing and pick up the 'phone. You will find a way of
talking your way out of trouble, despite being involved with Malcolm and
Todger. You see, I have confidence in your abilities.
