POLICY UPDATE from NFU
SPS
Cross compliance and cattle keeping - Following lobbying by NFU and
other stakeholders, the RPA have clarified the position on record
keeping requirements in the context of cross compliance, where the SPS
claimant allows a cattle keeper to graze his cattle on the claimant's
grassland where there is a CTS link in place. SPS claimants who are not
cattle keepers do not have to keep herd records if there is a CTS link
in place. More info on the RPA website

Farmers Guardian did a short piece handing out credit as well ;-))

again.
I would have thought that after publishing an email from the CLA here,
stating:
"I can confirm that Mr Webster is currently an active Member of our Cumbria
Branch Committee, having held office as Vice-Chairman, Chairman and
President of the Branch, retiring as President in September 2005."
Jim would have been much more careful to correct Farmers Guardian, before
they repeated a mistake they had made several times before - and which had
drawn much comment here.
It is a symptom of the general unreliablility of the farming press and ukba.
Don't believe a word!
