I find it slightly unnerving, and worrying to find that the elders and
betters I look up to are actually younger than me!! :*)



I find it unnerving when I realise I work with people nearer to 40 than
20. When I started engineering most were under 30.
I can actually see that skills will disappear as those holding them retire
and have few to pass them onto.

Working mostly on Ministry of Defence contacts, where refits can be on 20
year gaps, that if a company fails to win the current bid it might as well
close because it cannot hold onto the skilled workers for the 20 years to
the next major contract bid.
