All of which is hard to live with and it may be that his activity in UBA is
part of his coping strategies

His behaviour is not explained by any illness, real or imaginary except
possibly mental illness. Someone I cared for a great deal died recently, he
had been suffering from a cancer that he knew woudl kill him for several
years.

One of the sanest, most alive, most loved people I have ever known. His
postings to usenet were a joy to read.
