It is simply not good enough to operate on a trust system merely because
that have a vet on a retainer.

A company like this one will have quite a number of vets - they will not
be on a retainer, they will be full time and highly specialised
They are a crucial part of maintaining the health, productivity and
ultimately the profitability of each unit

Well how come they have bird flu then? That is not exactly a testament to
their collective expertise is it?

These viruses are in populations of birds around the world.
Low pathogenic AI have caused outbreaks each year
The important thing about the health strategies and care is to control any
outbreak and confine it
It is on this response that the company will be judged

Blame the French, it is easier and more popular.

Not at all
They just happen to have more natural threats carrying the virus around.
History has shown that continental Europe have had more minor and major
incidents with LPAI over the past 15 years than the UK
You can throw all the snide comments you like - no one is taking any notice
of them
They change nothing except making you look foolish - I believe you are
sufficiently intelligent to know this but that is your perogative

They are completely paranoid about health

Yes, their financial health.

Absolutely - one and the same thing

A very strange and very sinister view of life.

Not really
Keeping animals as well as economically possible gives you best profit
Prevention is cheaper than cure

The pro-vaccinationists claim that more rapid tests are available.

They also claim that there is a vaccine for HPAI
They are wrong here too
Its VERY interesting how few poultry keepers of all kinds in Holland - from
the smallest to the largest - have ultimately chosen not to vaccinate
The system and the vaccine is not good enough to protect their birds

I tend to
trust them more.

That is your perogative
I tend to look at the truth

Rapid tests give less opportunity for throwing your weight about and nice
little earners.

Please explain my "earner"

It probably is a less dangerous strain, but that's not the point. It is
their job to tell everyone else and pronto.

All this information has been broadcast on public channels

Nope, some of the information.

All of the information about the strain - as you requested in the sentence
above - is in the public domain and has been in national broadcasts
There has probably been a great deal more as I have been busy outside for
most of the day so missed much of the news

Until the results of the N part come back they have little else to add

How does it feel to be an apologist for a corrupt government department?

silly comment
