I like that but is there one for managers. I know that a good manager is
also a leader but the ones I have in mind are devoid of that attribute.

On the current software project I have been raising the paperwork to buy a
selection of software tools to run a project.

oohh! - you haven't by ay chance come across any free viewers for
Microsoft Project have you?

Pricey, but a good pair of binoculars might put you at a safe-ish distance.

The other format that find there way to me are AutoCad files [*.dwg] and
I give up on them as well.

Probably better to ask for .dxf files as they're importable by a lot more
apps. However, search for Autodesk DWG TrueView which I understand is used
to import CAD files into DTP. I've not used it myself but info passed fwiw.

I've asked for and received both types as *.pdf files; they are not
anywhere near as usable - but I resent the cost of the licences for both
Project and Cad.

I know the scenario and the type who causes it. Why is it always -my-
fault if I can't read their proprietary format - and still my fault if they
have to make six* extra mouse-clicks to read my generic format files?

Cheerio,

*Recent case: any other spread*** would have opened the tsv file
automatically but Excel needs its hand holding through the chore of
identifying a standard delimited format file.
