I sometimes move in circles where hugging is commonplace.
I sometimes feel I don't move fast enough.
I think I still have an unused disposable suit (intended for crop
spraying purposes) left over from my farming days. But Greenpeace-mode
hugging seems somehow inadequate, even insulting.
Isn't it all part of what the Yanks call `touchie-feelie'?
Do the wrong sort of 'touchie-feelie' and you'll be called a pervert,
ripe for prosecution.
I don't know whether hugging is biohazardous bird-flu-wise, but we
should obviously avoid the 'peck-on-the-cheek' style of greeting.
