The busisnessmen involved in (AFAIK) the current extradition
proceedings were involved in the periphery of the breakdown of company
law that occured in the US around the millenium. The Americans, to
their credit, are investigating all through these affairs, which are
extremely complex, and many of the people involved may not have known
what was really happening. The people now being brought to the US
probably think that they can show their innocence, and so are not
reluctant to be extradited.

The bankers have lost an appeal and are contemplating going to the
lords. They want to be tried in the UK.
