In the GoodOldDays, ->89, Lada owners were expected to be expert
mechanics,
Not as far as I know. I know of a good mechanic who had one. He was
constantly trying to fix all the weird noises and clanks it produced. He
sold it to a woman and met her again some years later. The lada had done
stirling service and never needed to be fixed. He took the car back off
her, but he found it just as bad as it had always been. Then the penny
dropped. The secret of being a lada owner is never to notice anything
thats wrong.
