just for informationswellings
From Intervet
AI [bird flu] vaccine Nobilis influenza
contains antigens to H5N2; H5N6; H7N1; H7N7; H9N2
has only been tested for safety on chickens
is not suitable for birds under 2 weeks old
50% of injected bird expect a transient diffuse swelling at site -
may last weeks
no information is available for birds in lay
even minute accidental vaccination of the human may result in severe pain,
swelling especially if into joint or finger and could cause loss of digit
use all the vial within 3 hours of broaching !!! - [500 doses in 3 hours
blimey]
probably means that they have to vaccinate in teams. Certainly any number of
birds they will have to have a large number working, surely most of them
will be lay staff working under veterinary 'supervision'
