north south east or west?
North East - about half way between Peterhead and Fraserburgh.
soil type
Um, It's sort of brown stuff that goes green and pointy if you leave it
lying around for a while ;) I don't really know much about soil to be
honest, most of the local livestock is sheep, though with some cattle.
Barley is a common local crop, some maize and rape.
climate
Wet in the winter, pretty cold at nights too - but not as bad as the
Highlands. Some snow, but never stays for more than about a week. Lots
of good sun in the summer - but never as hot as Sothern England.
proximity to urban population
Nearest decent sized towns about 10 miles. Nearest village about 2
miles.
would be useful to give folks some ideas
I didn't know these would be that important (hey, guess what - I'm
pretty ignorant in these matters!)
