Bizarre but true. Keeping old fashioned utility hens very extensively
looking after them properly has avoided most problems, but we had some
goose problems once. Our usual vet, though perfectly competent in other
areas, readily admitted that poultry was not an area he knew much about
- sadly, I don't recall him making much of an effort to become better
informed (we've since moved house and moved vets).
