When I was on the island, Rhum was the way it was always spelt. However what
proportion of the population was 'native' and what proportion off comers
employed there I genuinely wouldn't know
Rhum to me will always be the first place where I saw Tom and Jerry in
Colour, they had a film show in the 'village hall' and we were invited.
Cannot remember the main film, but the Tom and Jerry stuck in mind ;-))
