Sarah, when I want legal advice I pay for it from appropriately qualified
lawyers.
I'm willing to bet that you have no qualifications in law and this really
summarises the nature of the problem. It was Jim that long ago constantly
goaded me to go further than I wanted in respect of my complaints about the
SVS. He pestered me to speculate and when I did I got a stream of abuse.. It
is a regular practice here. I presume it has something to do with
role-playing
All of you feel entirely free to make whatever offensive observations you
wish and scragg anyone prepared to stand up to you. I'm not the only one
that had a really bad time here.
Jim has told us he has no insurance and no money to get involved in any
legal proceedings. He seems to be giving advice without any qualification or
experience and without any professional liability insurance. He also failed
to declare an interest. He now claims to have done so for money. After three
years it turns out that he has a vague relationship with the CLA involving
consultancy. He didn't declare it, it came out by accident.
If he restricted himself to areas where he did have some experience eg
livestock farming, aside from the normal chit chat, there would be no
problem. I'm not a puritan or hypersensitive. Many times I held out an olive
branch, but no, Jim and pals are determined that my voice will not be heard
here.
I can't say I'm that bothered what he says here, but he decided to challenge
me in areas where I do have expertise regularly calling me a liar and
eventually fabricating quite deliberate and damaging libels, presumably in
desperation.
Of course, Jim will not sue me. A bit of argy bargy is no problem but
fabricated libels, very specific in their detail is quite another matter.
Worse, it was so easy for him to check. He decided he was not going to. It
was quite deliberate defamation, not something said on the spur of the
moment, but repeated many times by him and others, despite my protests. He
regularly probes me for information, probably hoping for something he can
use, but gives away little in return
I'm not going to repeat the details of the libels, but my financial record
both in and out of business is impeccable. It would take just a few pounds
to check. If he can't afford it, I suggest you have a whip-round.
You can't go into Court with dirty hands.
I'm going to stay here and continue to post.
If you think you can order me off ukba, you have another think coming. If I
have to protect my freedom of speech and good name, I will do so without
hesitation or delay....but to a timetable that suits me.
Again I emphasise that I'm quite happy to take the argy bargy, but this was
cold blooded deliberate defamation.
