Considering anyone who read any world wide press knew that H5N1 has been
endemic in SE Asia for the past 2 years the fact that we are still importing
any birdlife from that area [which is what contaminated the parrot] should
be beyond belief.
Wringing our hands in the EU is not going to have any effect until there is
a massive effort to get this virus under control in the 10 countries of SE
Asia where this virus is playing its own game
