Keeping out the deer
Our garden is being destroyed by Muntjac deer. Do we have a chance of keeping them out using a two, or three, strand electric fence or is a 12' high barrier fence (as advised by the local Countrywide store) the only way?
The circumference of the garden is 300'. If an electric fence would do it, can anyone advise on the equipment please?
Something supersonic? They are usually solitary so you only have to shoot them one at a time. Sarah is in the market for the carcass.
Otherwise, I find they prefer to push between the top of the rabbit wire and the barbed wire above so I doubt they jump more than 4'. You can get *forest fence* 48" high and top that with a bit of high tensile plain wire. Why not do the job properly and keep the rabbits out as well?
Are you sure they are not Fallow. Big footprint difference:-)
regards
Many thanks
