On a day trip to Amsterdam I had the free tourist map, which at first
sight looked prety good. With the canals one would think it would be
impossible to get lost. However I ended up at first asking locals where we
were on the map and listening for trains and using that as a reference to
the central station. I think the problem was that on the streets some were
clearly named, others were not. On the map some roads were clearly named,
some were not. Sadly, possibly for fairness, the ones named on the map were
not the ones names on the street.
