Exactly. So he did *not* say he'd issued 1 share at all, did he?

It turns out that meant he should have only issued one share rather
than him meaning he should have entered that on the DCA form.

Well done, Sherlock, but isn't it obvious, given the context, that
that is the only thing it could have meant?

Please give us back the old Peter Saxton, who used to bend over backwards
to be helpful. Nowadays you just come across as bitter and twisted.
I blame Tim for this. :-)

New as in relatively recently different from the one we know and love.
Old as in "of an age", but I wouldn't say "very old", not yet.
Nevertheless, the clock to retirement is ticking, and one might
wonder whether it's its sound that's making you fratchety.

I still try to help people but it is difficult to spend the time when
I have taken on so many new clients recently.

Ah, so you're overworked! That explains a lot. Having to tell new
clients (and especially potential new clients) what morons they are,
in the politest possible way, is bound to take its toll, and you end
up telling new posters here what morons they are in terms slightly
less than maximally polite.

I live in hope that
Digita release their Practice Management suite soon to make my life
easier.

You seriously think it will save you time?

I don't know how you find the time to spend giving such long
explanations.

Well, let's just say I'm not overworked with moronic clients.
The only morons I'm having to deal with at the moment are plumbers
who can't find the cause of a simple obvious fault.
