There should be no "Shareholders Fund" only "Issued Shares" £1,000 inI thought shareholders funds had to match Total Assets Less Current
both years.
Liabilities
The bit I'm unhappy about is Capital and Reserves and the terminology
I'm using. I'm unsure whether shares can be called up before they have
been paid for, that seems to be the case looking at the DCA form but
all the example accounts I have don't have listed 'Allotted Called up
and not paid', only 'Allotted Called up and not Paid'.
What's the difference?
Well the difference is obvious (as I'm sure you know) that 'Allotted
Called up and not paid' have been issued but no payment has actually
been made, whereas with 'Allotted Called up and paid' they have
actually been paid for.
This is doing my head in, Im doing accounts for a company which in
2006 only had turnover of £1100 so would not be cost effective to pay
an accountant £800 to prepare the accounts, but I cant seem to get a
answer to this Shares question which is all arbitary anyway (whether I
had 1 or 1000 shares and whether or not Id paid for them or not does
not effect company profitability and how much I owe the taxman)
.
