Eh? The system doesn't *preclude* a fraudulent
transaction, it just leaves more evidence of who
actually performed it. So, a fraudster could
still use a stolen card (and leave evidence
making it easier to be caught) - and so the genuine
cardholder would still expect a chargeback.

Just because the retailer has evidence of who
performed the transaction, why do you think the bank
should always stand the loss and never the retailer?
