Well it seems I would be now. But several months ago they were not
this price. Well I suppose its like a car. U pay a fortune then its
worth less as soon as it leaves the forecourt.
Anyway whats the problem if I try to get what I'm asking. Its for
sale but thanks guys now no one will want it looking on here. I
suppose it gives meaning to your lives.

I suppose the problem is that your asking price is far too high, and
would essentially be ripping someone else off. Why shouldn`t people
post to let you (and others) know of similar items being sold for much
better prices? it allows you to set a more realistic value and thus
get a quicker sale, and it allows others to avoid paying massively
over the odds for your item/

Because if it was an advert in the paper then people would just ignore
it. They dont ring the number and say "hey you that item is way to
expensive. Perhaps you should lower th price".

If you don`t like the results of advertising something at too high a
price online, perhaps you should stick to advertising your item in
newspapers?

Why is it too high? This one is almost new.
The prices on online are without VAT. The one on ebay is alot older and
has been used more and if someone is willing to pay what i was asking.
How is that ripping them off. Its still cheaper than most other places.

The fact is that if someone is happy to pay what you`re asking, then
they are paying too much by the look of it. Would YOU like to be
charged a lot more than an item is worth, just because you don`t know
what it is really worth?

I'm NOT charging ALOT more than its worth.
Its still CHEAPER than a brand new one.
Its been used twice so it would be like buying a new one.

No, buying a new one would get you a new one. Buying yours gets you a
second hand one. Is the difference too complicated for you to understand?

I think you missed the word LIKE. I never said it WAS new. Just LIKE new.

AND its STILL CHEAPER than a NEW one.
If I dont sell it then I will drop the price.
So when YOU sell something you dont try to get the best price you can.
Have you got anything for sale?

Yes thanks, and I set my prices to something sensible so I get a quick
sale at a good price for everyone involved.

Your after a quick sale. I wasn't. Perhaps your too cheap.

AND who buys stuff for the asking price anyway.
We are all open to offers.

Why not state that in your advert then, rather then stating that you`d
"accept £1500" - this suggests that you`re not that interested in
haggling.

Yea got me there. My mistake.
but even if I see something for sale on here or in the papers.
I always try to knock it down abit if its something I'm interested in
buying.

If you had seen this in a paper it you would have ignored it.
Get a life.

Get a sense of perspective, and don`t start throwing your toys out your
pram when someone queries your price when you are trying to charge a lot
more for the item than it`s worth. If you want people to ignore your high
price then go and get an advert in a paper. If you want to advertise
online, then you`ve got to expect people to point out if you`re trying to
charge massively over the odds.

I think its still worth what I was asking cause its still cheaper than most
of the other I've seen online and alot cheaper than the shops.
And its only massively over the odds from your perspective. WOW some people
are so picky. So you would not pay that then so...no skin off my nose.
When I sell it I'll post on here what it went for.
And as for my toys....they are for sale if your interested. :-))
