Didn't research properly before buying, other brand Centrino 1.7s sell for £150+ all the time and after I have bought in PSUs for them these are a bit of a mistake. Shame as in my opinion the build quality of these surpasses Tosh and Dell models of the same spec easily, FSC seem to have got their act together and started building decent laptops at last. For sale through Ebay @ £139 eachCome on, offer them at a nice discount on this group. 5 for £500 for instance ?

Snowdon Computers Ltd,
Besides experience has told me that people wanting to pay peanuts generally expect the world on a plate and often turn out to be very problematic customers after the fact so no discounts, no. :)
Anyway, stop stereotyping; I'm not bloomin problematic dear chap.
my ebay profile with 503 ratings are at 100% (mainly as a buyer).
FSC may occasionally get it right, but they keep producing real dud's. Yours are over 5 years old now so for me, £140 is too much regardless of what you bought them for (which from a buyers point of view is somewhat irrelevant?).
Always worth offering though as for many sellers, the ease of selling larger number, and paying zero commission makes it attractive. Let's face it, you've had your share of problem buyers!
You got a bloody exclusive now? FFS. You're off on one yet again aren't you Neil!
This is a ng and therefore like it or not, you SHARE posting rights!
Having said that it's unlikely anyone at all will consider them now you have alluded the FSC producung 'real duds', pointing out that mine are over 5 years old and £140 being too much (for you - but this will generally be read as being too much full stop). It has gained you *** all aside from a bit of self stroking of your Ego so what exactly is your motivation for running my product down like you have? If you don't want to pay my asking price then why didn't you just pass this buy rather than indicate I should be giving 28% discounts for newsgroup members then running off a list of bad points like you did?
No wonder this group has gone to ***.
I am struggling to see how you keep in business given your totally OTT and unprofessional response - you being a responsible and reliable trader and all that. It would put me right off dealing with you!
If being honest and speaking my mind put anyone off dealing with me than I
am happy to not have them as a customer. Maybe you prefer people to fawn and
simper to all and sundry and tell lies eh? Sorry but that's not me, if
people can't handle plain honesty then that's not my problem. The recent new
highs my turnover has been hitting tells me I am not doing too much wrong &
just proves to me how far detracted from the real world this newsgroup is.
FWIW I was emailed privately by a posted here asking if I would sell at
DCA's 'recommended' price and I believe I declined politely - as I would
have done had DCA emailed me directly instead of posting his alternative
valuation as a follow up to my advert/post.
If you want to see rude and OTT you should have seen the diatribe DCA sent
Raj by email after getting a rather silly 'best' offer on a batch of Raj's
laptops rejected on Ebay.
Reply noted, but given my own work in customer Services, I am still left somewhat flabbergasted at both your response to DCA and even to me!
It is rather like "he's nasty to me, he's nasty to my mate and so I'm justified in being nasty back" which to an outsider all looks incredibly childish (especially from a commercial seller!).
If you were a bigger company, I can just see you defending your CS on watchdog saying, "Well he was behaving like a tosser so I told him what for" and everyone being highly impressed with how robust you were! Perhaps not huh?
At the end of the day, (in my book anyway), when you're in the business of selling things, you never ever openly and publicly respond in the way you elected to. It just isn't done and your arrogance regarding 'If they don't like it they can sod off too' attitude is just amazing.
You will only damage your reputation (and not knowing you or your business before this sparring match, I can only judge from my impression gained here). You cannot possibly do it any good.
DCA wouldn't appear to be much of a seller and from what I can see of his/her ebay profile (link researched from previous posts), certainly not commercially so and presumably therefore has absolutely nothing to lose from posting whatever response (s)he sees fit. Hey, and why not, (s)he's free to comment on whatever post (s)he wants isn't he?
Who is Raj? I assume (s)he is also commercial seller on here/ebay? Am I missing something? I am assuming that if Raj is in a similar position to you, he has managed to keep it 'in-house' as I cannot see any unpleasantness exchanged on here and he will not therefore suffer as a result!
Anyway, given I was just throwing my oar in, I've said my bit and I'll *** out before I become unwelcome.
Dan
