MS Publisher is a common request from people who want to make advertising material for their business and continuing education folk on an IT course as well as school age kids.
You have seen the educational prices at:
http://www.software4students.co.uk/
Good aren't they ;-)
But really applicable to students on long term courses and not applicable to ordinary people in work doing a day job (and trying to self teach themselves something out of the office to impress the boss). I don't condone piracy but I can see why and where it happens.
The silver surfer joining a short publisher course down the community centre probably doesn't qualify either (unknown educational establishment) and if they did would quickly loses entitlement to use the discounted software at home at the end of the course when they actually want to use it for something.
My comments on the wrong packaging of Publisher are still valid I feel.
Where is the home version of Publisher (and Access) for the user that is NOT a student, NOT an NHS worker, NOT a business and NOT with children? Why are they expected to pay the hundred pound premium on full retail price for Office Professional?
