How about an Asus P/I P55TVP4?
ISTR getting one to work with that processor..But you would have to
check, as it was some time ago. ISTR that it neeed a BIOS update and a
big hsf.
According to:
http://www.motherboards.org/files/manuals/1/p55tvp4-152.pdf
It doesn't have three frequency ratio jumpers, so will only go up to
3.5x.
It only supports FSB speeds up to 66MHz.
It doesn't have the ability to support all voltages in 0.1V steps from
2.0V upwards -- the lowest CPU voltage mentioned is 2.7V.
At home (100 miles away), I have one of these:
http://www.itox.com/pages/products/mothers/comercialmb/k6bv3.php
It's still in use, with a K6-III+ (550MHz), 768MB of RAM, a GeForce2
AGP card and a 120GB hard disk.
If you get completely stuck, I may be in a position (next month) to
swap it for an equally top-of-the-range socket 7 board in an ATX form
factor.
