slots it has, whether the USB is 1 or 2 and how easy it would be to

Usually 2 X PCMCIA slots, memory is expandable by two sockets, one
of which isusually occupied, USB is USB1 by memory, this would be a
little early for USB2. Memory cards are easily sourced.

I'm very tempted myself, but the TP 600 I have does the job so well
that I couldn't really justify it :-))

It's not a bad machine, I myself use a T22 (usb 1.1), but certainly needs
more memory for XP (for instance) but, apart from the battery life, when a
modern machine is well under £300 nowadays is there really any contest?
