The buyer of my 4GB SDHC SD card reckons its faulty.. says he gets an
I/O error when he tries to use it in his PDA or any of his card
readers... my first reaction was that his PDA doesn't support SDHC cards
and neither do his card readers. He maintains that it is faulty - its an
Intergral brand that I got new from expansys and never used becuase my
PDA takes microSD.
I have offered him a £ 10.50 refund if it decides to return it which is
the cost of the item minus postage. I have no way of testing the item
but wouldn't of thought a memory card could be faulty like he insists.
If it is faulty then you should refund him in full including postage
charges. Why should he be out of pocket because you have sold him a
faulty item?
The thing is I have no way of testing... the item was brand new from
expansys. I am trusting them to provide me with a working item. Besides
there is a possibility that his PDA doesn't support SDHC cards... not many
do except very recent ones.
But the fact that you can`t test the item is not his fault. And the excuse
that there`s a possibility his PDA doesn`t support SDHC cards wouldn`t hold
much water in a court, or indeed if he decided to go after you through
paypal/ebay.
