Well seems it's illegal to say you can provide backups? Don't see why, flashing the console is also illegal then surely?
IIUC, it is not acceptable to offer backups of software to someone else - without also including the originals or equivalent.
It is not possible to buy consoles from the manufacturer without the original firmware. Thus backups of the firmware come with the original by default.
You could, of course, ask for offers here, or put it up for sale at the amount you expected to get for it, or thereabouts.. Worth a shot, possibly? It costs now't except possibly the embarrassment of being the target of a little ribbing if you ask for "too much"..
