if they go for £300 with new batteries and the batteries are going to
be
£200 you are going to be lucky to see £100

£300 is a lot even with new batteries, for a UPS that is at least 6
years
old. Good UPS though.
Andy

I tend to agree, when I get these in I think the most I have ever had
in
recent times is £127 (from a 99p start) & that was for a black bezeled
APC one. With dead batteries I would be surprised if it will sell at
all
unfortunately.

Shame that they use 48 volt internal battery packs.

12v ones with external battery terminals sell quite well to the
caravanning and boat fraternity, IIUC. They aren't so fussed about the
effects of a failure and are happy to ue 6 year-old, no warranty, units.
Sue

UPSs that work off 12v generally don't go above about 650va (about 420
watts).
Though I did have a couple of old 1100va UPSs that had a single 12v
battery
in them. The UPSs weighed 60Kgs each, so I gave them away!
If anyone wants a number of small UPSs then email me. I'm gradually
clearing out the smaller ones as not worth refurbishing and putting them
on
Ebay.
Prices from free to a few quid depending on the UPS model and condition.

Well I put it on, and I have had a lot of interest from people (no one
has bid yet!) that want it without the batteries, so we shall see.

Andy, you coudl try listing them as a job lot or something? I sold a
load of them (under 600 VA) for about £40 back in March, so someone
may buy them for just doing up in their own time, or something else.
-Ben

Problem is most of the ones I've got are non-working and/or faulty. I don't
want to get 99p for a dozen UPSs. Not worth it. I've got to get most
working before I put them on Ebay. And I can never find the time or space
to work on them. So if someone wants to buy a job lot and do them up and
sell them on for a profit then email me.
