FS: Avocent/HP/Compaq/Dell etc. KVM Rack Rails

These 1U KVM Brackets are suited to the "Outlook" style of KVM's
manufactured by Apex/Avocent, and subsequently rebadged and branded by
Dell, Compaq, HP and many others.
These Brackets are 255mm Long, 43mm Tall (1U/1.75Inchex) and have a 20mm
lip for the rack screw.
Will this fit my KVM? If your KVM looks like the one in the picture,
then yes it should fit without any issues. To confirm further, check the
measurement between the holes on your switch. These are approximately
175mm apart and are exactly in the middle of the bracket. The Apex
switches are all the same in design, just painted and branded
differently, so these should fit fine!
Will this fit newer "cat5" style Avocent/HP/Dell KVM's? Yes and No. At
time of fabrication I didn't have the measurements for this type of KVM,
the front hole should line up ok, but you would need to drill the rear
hole yourself as the bracket is longer than the unit itself. The next
batch made will have an extra hole to accomodate this.
Where did you get these? I've had these fabricated myself as I needed
some for my KVM's as I have loads of them without the ears! But in order
to have them made, I had to place a minimum order of half a *** of
them! So my surplus is the answer to your problems, as these are like
hens teeth to find, and indeed, very hard to find long enough 1U
brackets to drill yourself.
What are they made from? These have been machine punched from 1mm Mild
Steel ***, and powder coated to ensure a rust-free finish.
