Why? Have you broken the old one?
High-end socket A CPUs are still desirable, and are getting rarer. For
an Athlon XP-M (laptop CPU, but will work in a desktop with some
fiddling) you'd pay around 40 pounds; for a desktop Barton it'll be
more like 60-70 pounds.
For that amout of money, you'd be better off buying an 64-bit CPU and
a new motherboard.
I don't know that much about the latest motherboards for Intel CPUs,
but the latest AMD motherboards use Socket AM2. To the best of my
knowledge, socket AM2 only works with DDR2 memory, so you may want to
get the slightly dated socket 754 or socket 939 format to reuse your
existing DDRAM.
