It is not going to be cost-effective for you to buy an Ethernet ADSL modem
(£25 at the least, likely more) in addition to your cable router. You would
be better off taking the hit of returning it to the store & exchanging it
for a suitable one. I bought my Speedtouch 585 for £30 inc shipping from
