Ok so right on cue ive missed 3x 7800GTs cheap on ebay this past week,
hammer fell at £90, £96 and £116 for those (with a few more going for much
higher of course). Wish I could have grabbed one but I never seem to get to
ebay in time to bid at the close.
So this is just a quick WHY repost to see if anyone here has one they need
to shift, original post below.
(note if its going to drop to the level of the cheap ebay ones then I would
spend a little more travelling to get it, but with a car that does 25 to the
gallon thats not going to be too far, say 50 miles from north herts?)
Thanks for reading

I'm looking for a bargain so stop reading now if you want top dollar for
your kit.
Looking for a second hand 7800GT to make up an SLI rig but I'm not in a
hurry to get the right price.
I've been watching the ebay prices slowly slip down through to the 130-125
level, which is still a *little* high for a second hand item, as the newer
7900s perform better for the same prices new (or lower in come cases) so
its not been value for money to get a second 7800gt yet as far as im
concerned.
However Nvidia have announced yet more cards to replace some of the
current range, I'm expecting the old 7800GT to be worth even less very
soon (the 7900GT being replaced with the 7950GT, benefits include 512mb as
standard, the addition of hdmi connectors and higher core and mem clocks
of course).
The only caveat is since being ripped off in this group by Mr Paul Scumbag
Berry of Stoke I only want to hear from people I can collect from (the
bonus is i'll pay cash) within 40 miles or so of North Herts eg beds,
bucks, berks, n.london, w.essex etc, OR I will accept postage if you are a
regular in this group. Alternatively you could send me the card first, ok
thats not the normal way but I know I'm honest and good for it (and so do
some traders here that I have purchased from in past years, albeit in the
normal way).
Cue replys saying how unrealistic I am- I dont care, Ill find one sooner
or later, probably after reposting this a few times- I'm in no hurry and
as we all know computer parts are like selling fruit and veg- slightly too
long on the shelf and the produce is worth much less.
WHY?
Thanks
