It is just for my girlfriend's machine and a quiet life. It is either
swap her XP 2000+ for a 3200 and increase memory or upgrade everything
in her machine...I don't want to pay to upgrade everything!!
Personally I am going from an AMD64 3200+ to an AMD 64 X2 4200+ with 2
Gig of Crucial DDR533...I don't mind paying for that! But if I give
her my old processor, I have to upgrade her motherboard to accommodate
the processor. I could give her my old Fatal1ty An8 and get a new
board for myself but then it would mean having to buy her a new
graphics card also as her's is currently an AGP 8X.
Unless I get her a cheaper end AMD64 Motherboard with an AGP socket and
keep the Fatal1ty for the AMD64X2 but then I am not sure if it is
compatible with the DDR2 memory at PC533 or the processor come to that
Advice appreciated
Damon
I'm assuming there's a "demand" for these as I've 28 people watching
the new one I have on Ebay? :-)
