Looking for a cheap-ish lappy for the missus and little'un to use around
the
house. Doesn't have to be anything special, but it needs a 15" XGA
toenough welly to run WinXP without going at a snail's pace, wireless
networking built-in, and to be in good working condition.
The NEC one that Digi-UK are selling for £360 at the moment looks pretty
good, but if I can get a second-user unit for less £££ then that's got
be
a good thing!
Post a reply if you've got anything that might fit the bill.
thanks for that, as i after such a laptop. the spec is :
http://www.digiuk.com/productdetail.asp?id=6469
Main Features:
Processor - Intel Celeron
Processor Speed - 1.0-1.5GHz
RAM - 256MB
Hard Disk Drive - 40GB
Optical Drive - DVDRW Dual Layer

do you have any idea what it means by 1.0 - 1.5ghz... what is the actual
speed ?
... clicking on the "More info." tab reveals that laptop to have an Intel
Celeron M 1.4GHz processor.
